What You'll Need

✓ MetaTrader 4 or 5 Platform

Download from your broker or from:

Open an account with any MT4/MT5 broker. Popular choices:

  • XM, FXTM, IC Markets (Forex)
  • Admirals, Roboforex (Stocks & Multi-Asset)
  • Start with a DEMO account for testing

Quick Setup (5 Minutes)

1Install Expert Advisor

In MetaTrader:

  • Click File → Open Data Folder
  • Go to MQL4\Experts\ (MT4) or MQL5\Experts\ (MT5)
  • Copy the downloaded EA file here
  • Restart MetaTrader

2Enable WebRequest

This allows the EA to communicate with our server:

  • Go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors
  • Check "Allow WebRequest for listed URL"
  • Add: https://trading-robot-1b0179ab-205.app.omni-coder.com
  • Click OK

3Attach EA to Chart

Drag and drop the EA onto any chart and configure:

API_URL: https://trading-robot-1b0179ab-205.app.omni-coder.com/mt_api_server.php API_KEY: your-secure-api-key MagicNumber: 12345 DefaultLots: 0.01

✓ Check "Allow live trading" and click OK

4Create Bot on Website

Create your first trading bot:

  • Go to the dashboard
  • Click "Create New Bot"
  • Select "MetaTrader 4" or "MetaTrader 5" as broker
  • Enter the same API key you used in step 3
  • Choose your strategy and risk settings
  • Click "Create Bot"

5Start Trading

Activate your bot and start monitoring:

  • Click "Start" on your bot from the dashboard
  • The EA will now receive and execute trading signals
  • Monitor trades in MT4/MT5 and on the website
  • Check logs regularly

Symbol Format Guide

Use the correct symbol format for your broker:

Common Formats: EUR/USD → EURUSD GBP/USD → GBPUSD USD/JPY → USDJPY Gold → XAUUSD or GOLD Bitcoin → BTCUSD or BTCUSDT S&P 500 → SPX500 or US500 Check your broker's symbol list in MT4/MT5: Press Ctrl+U → Right-click → "Symbols"

💡 Pro Tips

• Always start with minimum lot size (0.01) for testing
• Use a VPS for 24/7 trading (optional but recommended)
• Monitor your bot daily for the first week
• Set appropriate stop losses to manage risk
• Keep MT4/MT5 running while bot is active

Troubleshooting

EA Not Working?

  • Check if smiley face icon shows 😊 on chart
  • Verify WebRequest is enabled for correct URL
  • Check "Experts" tab for error messages
  • Ensure "Allow live trading" is checked

No Trades Executing?

  • Verify bot is "Active" on website dashboard
  • Check that symbol format matches your broker
  • Ensure API key matches between EA and website
  • Look for signals in the logs page
